Oreb and Zeeb

Oreb and Zeeb (Or´eb, zee´eb; Heb., “raven” and “wolf”)

Two Midianite princes who were killed by the Ephraimites in Gideon’s battle against the Midianites (Judg 7:24-8:3). Their death was commemorated by the “rock of Oreb” and the “wine press of Zeeb,” and their crushing defeat was invoked by the psalmist in (Ps 83:11).
