Kore (Kor´ee)

The name of a bird to be identified with some species of partridge. It is also the name of two men in the OT. 1 The father of Shallum, a member of the tabernacle gatekeepers’ guild (1Chr 9:19). 2 A Levite contemporary with Hezekiah (2Chr 31:14).
