The Benjaminite father of Abidan. His son was appointed to assist Moses in the wilderness with the census as head of the Benjaminite clan (Num 1:11). The son also led the marching Benjaminite group (Num 2:22), presented the Benjaminite offering on the ninth day of the dedication of the altar (Num 7:60; Num 7:65), and supervised the Benjaminite encampment (Num 10:24).
